“Obsessed from page one! The Insiders is yet another addicting read from Tijan.”—Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author
The Damaged is a consuming new adult romance in ‘The Insiders Trilogy’. I love that Tijan always brings emotion, suspense, and romance. Once you read this book, you won’t be able to put it down.
I have to admit that I started this series out of order. I began with this book and although I know there is more to Bailey and Kash’s story, it didn’t make it less appealing to read. So, I will be buying a copy of book 1, The Insiders, right after I finish writing this review because this series is my new obsession!
In The Damaged, Bailey is dealing with so much trauma. She was kidnapped and is trying to move on with her life. She is going to start college at Hawkings University and is looking forward to this. It may be too much too soon but she has Kash by her side!
Kash is a loyal, protective boss. Everyone knows who he is and you don’t want to cross him. He is facing many problems and most of them are coming from his grandfather and other enemies. All of that doesn’t matter if he can’t protect the woman he loves, Bailey. He knows that she is struggling so he is trying to be her light in all the darkness.
Bailey and Kash are damaged and to see them try to persevere and keep things together at their young ages is admirable. I absolutely love the chemistry and passion between them and readers will be drawn in. There are lots of twists and turns and the ending is jaw-dropping.
I give The Damaged all the stars!! It is a complex new-adult read that is addicting. I was so captivated by the story and characters. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series and see how everything plays out. If you are looking for a series that you can easily be captivated by, then you have to read this series!
